We specialize in the marketing and sales of home library and estate collections in New England and the New York City areas. We make complimentary house calls in southern Maine and will drive out of state to view substantial book collections. We provide honest, friendly, efficient service and fair prices. We are flexible and strive to meet our customer's needs.

We sell online and direct to other dealers, collectors and booklovers, and at book shows. We are veterans of the Portland and Boston book shows.

We sell directly to many repeat customers with specific want lists. Speaking of want lists ...We love them! Here are just a few examples of topics we seek for specific collectors: early Armenia, the Magdalene Islands, 19th century Universalism, Quakers, Phrenology, 18th and 19th century veterinary and medical books, glass ball shooting, John Muir, War of 1812, Yiddish books with musical notation ... The more esoteric, the better!

We offer assistance with building or extending personal libraries.

We were book lovers, looking to get rid of a large quantity of books. Fortunately, Pine Tree Books offered us the perfect solution. Peggy and Ogden Williams came to our home, sorted through our books, packed them up and took them away to inventory and sell. We knew our books would make it into the hands of interested readers. The icing on the cake was the check that arrived shortly after. Of course we immediately went out and bought some more books!
